Inspiring women showed they can be anything

What does the courage to be yourself look like? The event “Women Can Be Anything”, held on May 12, 2025, at UVP Technicom in Košice, brought powerful stories of women who have succeeded in fields where their presence is still underrepresented.

The event titled “Women Can Be Anything” offered strong testimonies and honest reflections on what it means to be a woman in today’s world. In an atmosphere of openness and support, the stories shared were united by courage, perseverance, and the ability to follow one’s own path – even when it doesn’t fit societal expectations.

Discussions focused on overcoming internal doubts and the strength of female leadership in science, technology, and entrepreneurship. The participants agreed that perfection is not the goal – what matters more is perseverance, confidence in one’s abilities, and support from the community.

One of the key takeaways of the evening was that despite feelings of uncertainty – something we all experience – it is crucial not to give up or wait for external validation. Success often doesn’t come via a straight, easy road, but one we create ourselves.

Speakers included women from diverse fields: pilot Sandra Sandtnerová, biochemist and scientist Miroslava Rabajdová, AI expert and entrepreneur Mária Virčíková, nuclear physicist Lucia Anna Tarasovičová, and executive director of Košice IT Valley Miriama Hučková. The evening was hosted by moderator Lívia Gaľová.

EDIH CASSOVIUM was a partner of the event. The project was presented by Lívia Gaľová and Miriama Hučková as part of the program and discussion.
