On March 20, 2025, a free seminar titled In-House ESG Specialist took place at the UVP TECHNICOM premises in Košice, organized as part of the activities of the Enterprise Europe Network (EEN). The event was aimed at small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) seeking to expand beyond Slovakia while enhancing their sustainability and competitiveness through ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) principles.
The seminar’s goal was to show companies how to effectively implement ESG strategies into their daily operations with minimal costs. Participants received a range of practical tools, information, and recommendations they could immediately apply in their business practices. The seminar was led by JUDr. Ing. Vladimír Hrivnák, LL.M., an expert in sustainable business and HR.
The opening session also featured a presentation by EDIH Cassovium, showcasing its service offerings for SMEs in the field of digitalization and highlighting support opportunities for businesses in the region. Given the shared target audience with EEN, this collaboration is both natural and valuable – the two networks complement each other in their activities.
Fourteen entrepreneurs from the region left the seminar with new knowledge, contacts, and the opportunity to obtain a certificate titled In-House ESG Specialist, issued by NORTHON.
