On April 10, 2024, an informal bilateral meeting took place in Helsinki, Finland, between representatives of EDIH Cassovium and the Finnish AI Region (FAIR EDIH). This meeting marked another step in strengthening international cooperation between the two digital transformation hubs and supporting innovation in the region.
FAIR EDIH is a center that provides companies with expertise in artificial intelligence, extended reality, high-performance computing, and cybersecurity. Its goal is to accelerate and scale up the adoption of AI in small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs). Funded by the European Commission, Business Finland, and the Helsinki City Innovation Fund, FAIR offers free services to SMEs to help them adopt smart digital solutions and grow their business.
FAIR focuses on three key areas: digital services, smart cities, and healthcare. SMEs also have access to AI professors and their teams, to the fastest supercomputer in Europe, and to cutting-edge testing facilities.
The meeting between FAIR and EDIH Cassovium was an opportunity to exchange experience in service provision and collaboration with companies. Representatives of both hubs also explored future cooperation possibilities, which may include joint projects, knowledge exchange, and SME support in both regions.
The meeting with FAIR EDIH was highly beneficial and strengthened mutual ties between the two centers. Future cooperation is expected to bring new opportunities for innovation and business growth across both regions.
