On May 31 and June 1, the first annual summit of the European Digital Innovation Hubs (EDIH) Network took place in Brussels. This summit was one of the key events of the year for supporting the development of digital innovation in Europe. It provided an essential platform for knowledge sharing and community building within the EDIH network.
The goal was to strengthen cooperation between innovation institutions, businesses, academia, and public authorities to stimulate digital innovation and enhance the European Union’s competitiveness.
The event brought together more than 300 representatives of digital innovation hubs, experts, innovators, policymakers, and public institution leaders who work with digital technologies and their impact on business and society. The summit was organized by the European Commission in collaboration with the Digital Transformation Accelerator.
Over the course of two days, participants had the opportunity to learn, get inspired, and engage in discussions on digital transformation—the very focus of the EDIH network. Key topics were raised, from policy frameworks and SME digitalization to European-level cooperation. The summit also facilitated the sharing of innovative solutions and valuable ideas.
The program featured experienced speakers, panel discussions, workshops, and various networking opportunities. Participants shared their experiences, best practices, and innovative solutions that open new possibilities for business in the digital environment.
EDIH CASSOVIUM was represented at the summit by Juraj Majcher (Technical University of Košice) and Ivan Pezlar (Pavol Jozef Šafárik University in Košice), who had the opportunity to present the operation of our EDIH, its members, and the services it offers in greater detail.
We are pleased that we were able to highlight two key topics with a significant impact on the digital transformation of enterprises – artificial intelligence and cybersecurity. We presented our approach and innovative solutions developed for small and medium-sized enterprises and public sector organizations.
