Representatives of EDIH CASSOVIUM, Ing. Henrieta Dunne and Ing. Miroslav Michalko, PhD., participated in the international meeting of the EDIH Manufacturing Network – EDIH4MANU, which took place on January 24–25, 2023, at the MADE Competence Center I4.0 in Milan.
The conference was an excellent opportunity to raise the visibility of EDIH CASSOVIUM and engage in discussions with European and regional institutions, industrial associations, and technology transfer centers on the roles and services of EDIHs in supporting the digital and sustainable transformation of the manufacturing sector.
On the first day, by special invitation, a representative of EDIH CASSOVIUM (as the only invited EDIH from the Central and Eastern European region) introduced EDIH CASSOVIUM during a panel discussion. The presentation focused on its vision, sectoral and technological orientation, and its plan to support the digital transformation of small and medium-sized enterprises and public institutions in Slovakia. During the networking sessions, contacts were established and connections made with representatives of major European EDIHs present at the conference, laying a strong foundation for building an international EDIH network, in which EDIH CASSOVIUM is already becoming a recognized member.
The second day of the event was dedicated to internal discussions on shared goals, joint activities, and defining the key elements of the services offered to support the growth of European companies in various EU regions. Various forms of business support were also discussed, as well as tools for accelerating the development and integration of new manufacturing solutions into practice. EDIH CASSOVIUM established collaborations with several European EDIHs to create mutual cooperation corridors.
