Transnational Mobility Mission in Intemac: EDIH Cassovium’s Cooperation in Central Europe
On 20 August 2025, representatives of the Technical University of Košice, within the framework of the EDIH Cassovium project, took part in the Transnational Mobility Mission in Intemac, held in Brno. The aim of the meeting was to strengthen cross-border cooperation, establish new partnerships, and explore opportunities for joint projects.
Smarter and Greener Innovations
The event was organized under the Smarts Circuit project, which focuses on building smarter and circular digital innovation hubs. Its ambition is to support the manufacturing ecosystem of Central Europe, making it greener, more competitive, and technologically advanced.
Visit to Cutting-edge Testbeds
The programme included visits to two unique testing environments:
-
RICAIP Testbed Brno (CEITEC VUT) – a model laboratory bringing together Czech and German research institutions. It focuses on research in Industry 4.0, supports experimental manufacturing, education, and close collaboration with industry.
-
INTEMAC Solution s.r.o. – a competence and innovation centre for manufacturing and technology companies. The testbed is equipped with robotic systems, modular end-effectors, advanced automation components, and sensor systems, including machine vision technology for both 2D and 3D image processing.
Space for New Partnerships
The programme concluded with a collaboration meeting, where participants discussed the design of potential joint projects and identified areas for possible cooperation.
Regional Impact
Participation in the Transnational Mobility Mission was a valuable opportunity for sharing experiences among European EDIHs, while also opening space for concrete forms of support for small and medium-sized enterprises.
Alongside EDIH Cassovium, the meeting was also attended by partners from the Czech Republic (EDIH-DIGIMAT) and Poland (Krakow Technology Park), further strengthening regional cooperation across Central Europe.
