10 September 2025, Banská Bystrica – The Digital Future conference was held at the DIXON Congress Hotel Resort, bringing current topics of digital and green transformation for companies as well as the public sector. EDIH Cassovium participated in the event for the third time, presenting its services throughout the day, consulting on digitalization opportunities, and connecting participants with partners in the innovation ecosystem.
Both the morning and afternoon programmes consisted of expert seminars led by experienced lecturers. The discussions covered production automation, cybersecurity, IoT and intelligent sensors, intelligent energy systems, work with data and databases, as well as topics such as energy security and efficient waste management. Participants had the opportunity to ask experts about specific challenges and seek practical solutions directly.
The programme also included a joint presentation of support options for businesses and municipalities, and a mini FutureSkills Lab – a demo of testing digital and green skills. At the stands of Slovak EDIHs, visitors could learn about the range of services on offer, including the measurement of organisations’ digital maturity. Throughout the day, the EDIH Cassovium team explained how needs diagnostics work, how technologies are pilot-tested, and how to effectively connect to suitable support resources.
The conference is part of a series of events within the national project Digital Skills for a Green Future of Slovakia, which are gradually taking place in all regional capitals and raise awareness of the dual–digital and green–transformation.
