On April 9, 2024, a conference titled “Bridging IT and Manufacturing” took place at UVP Technicom in Košice. The event focused on the key topic of integrating information technologies (IT) into manufacturing processes. Organized by the Slovak-German Chamber of Commerce and Industry, the Košice IT Valley cluster, and the EDIH Cassovium consortium, the event attracted a remarkable number of participants from IT and manufacturing sectors in Eastern Slovakia.
The conference provided a platform for expert discussions on how to effectively bridge the gap between IT and practical manufacturing. Experts from various fields shared their experiences and insights, presenting practical solutions for the digitalization of manufacturing processes.
One of the main speakers was Juraj Kováč from the EDIH Cassovium consortium, who presented software and hardware tools for business digitalization. He also highlighted the infrastructure available at the Technical University of Košice, which is accessible to regional companies.
