In May 2025, EDIH Cassovium actively participated in the prestigious Manufacturing Day 2025 in Vienna. This international conference, held as part of the ViennaUP festival, is one of the most important gatherings of experts in the field of manufacturing digitalisation, Industry 4.0, and artificial intelligence in Europe.
Showcasing Our Activities and Gaining Inspiration
Miroslav Janák, representative of EDIH Cassovium, used the opportunity to present our centre’s activities in an international context, follow the latest technological trends, and establish new partnerships with stakeholders from European industry and research. The presentation of EDIH Cassovium’s service portfolio received positive feedback, particularly in the areas of energy transformation and innovative industrial technologies.
Startups, Discussions, and Collaboration
A highlight of the event was the BoostUp! East 2025 startup competition, where some of the most promising European startups presented solutions focused on energy transformation in manufacturing – a topic closely aligned with our mission to support innovation in the industrial sector. Another inspiring part of the day was the panel discussion “Stronger Together”, focused on strengthening cooperation across Europe. From our perspective, this session highlighted key challenges and opportunities in cross-border collaboration and the global competitiveness of European industry.
Strengthening the EDIH Network
Several in-person meetings with foreign EDIHs were held during the event, supporting the development of bilateral cooperation within the EDIH Network initiative and Work Package 4. These connections are essential for sharing best practices and exchanging knowledge across regions.
Looking Back at 2024
During Manufacturing Day 2024, EDIH Cassovium participated in an interactive workshop together with nine other European EDIHs. We exchanged insights on services and cooperation opportunities. These initial contacts laid the foundation for further collaboration that continued in 2025.
