Innovation, Technology, and Collaboration in the Spotlight

On 17–18 September 2025, the Kulturpark in Košice hosted Slovakia’s largest innovation and technology festival – SlovakiaTech Forum-Expo 2025.
Now in its seventh edition, the event focused on finding answers to the “crossroads” challenges of today’s world in the fields of innovation, business, and technology.

The Technical University of Košice (TUKE) once again served as the main academic guarantor of the festival. Over two days, more than 100 speakers from Slovakia and abroad took the stage across three venues to discuss trends and solutions in business, digitalization, Industry 5.0, and sustainable development.

The program also featured an EXPO exhibition area, showcasing scientific projects from Slovak universities (TUKE, UPJŠ, STU, and others), innovative technology companies, startups, and several side events – including the FIRST Global Slovakia robotics competition.

This year’s festival revolved around four key thematic pillars:

BusinessX – development of security technologies, the evolution of Industry 5.0, automation, and workforce skill transformation;
HumanX – the future of healthcare, human augmentation and robotics, mental health, and human–machine interaction;
TechX – artificial intelligence ecosystems, cloud solutions, quantum technologies, and cybersecurity strategies;
CleanX – sustainability, clean technologies, green business models, and the redefinition of resource use.

Among the exhibitors was also the University Science Park TECHNICOM, presented within the TUKE exhibition space.
During the festival, EDIH CASSOVIUM showcased its activities and projects supported by the DIGITAL (Digital Europe Programme) and the Recovery and Resilience Plan of the Slovak Republic.

Visitors had the opportunity to learn more about the key focus areas of EDIH CASSOVIUM – European projects EDIH and EEN, the growing technology transfer ecosystem at TUKE, as well as support for startups and innovative initiatives in the region. The event also offered a valuable space for networking with entrepreneurs, students, and representatives from the public sector.

Once again, SlovakiaTech confirmed its importance as a platform connecting science, innovation, industry, and the public sector, and with more than 3,000 participants, it became one of the most significant technology events of the year.
