On Wednesday, February 8, 2023, the inaugural General Assembly of the EDIH CASSOVIUM consortium was held at UVP TECHNICOM, with the participation of statutory representatives of the consortium – the Rector of the Technical University of Košice (TUKE) Dr. h. c. Prof. h. c. Prof. Ing. Stanislav Kmeť, DrSc., the Rector of Pavol Jozef Šafárik University in Košice Prof. RNDr. Pavol Sovák, CSc., Executive Director of Košice IT Valley Mgr. Miriama Hučková, General Project Manager Assoc. Prof. Ing. František Jakab, PhD., and invited guests.
The meeting aimed to officially launch the activities of the consortium’s governing bodies and to evaluate the current status of the project. The General Assembly approved the composition of the Project Steering Committee and discussed nominations to the Strategic Advisory Board.
At the end of the meeting, representatives of all three consortium partners acknowledged the progress made in project implementation and highlighted the unique composition of the consortium.
EDIH CASSOVIUM (EDCASS) is part of the European Digital Innovation Hubs (EDIH) network. The European Commission supports the creation of this network to enhance the long-term competitiveness of the EU. Slovakia hosts five selected centers composed of prestigious institutions. The EDIH CASSOVIUM consortium includes the Technical University of Košice (coordinator), Pavol Jozef Šafárik University in Košice, and the Košice IT Valley cluster.
EDIH CASSOVIUM supports companies and public organizations in their digital transformation to improve their competitiveness and efficiency through innovative digital technology. It helps clients secure funding for digital innovations, creates incubation environments for high-tech startups, and fosters a digital innovation ecosystem in the region.
